Ben Jordan, the actor who provides the facial model and motion capture for Insomniac Games' Spider-Man, has sparked speculation about a sequel after sharing a cryptic image on his Instagram story. The photo shows Jordan in motion capture gear, striking a web-shooter pose, with the caption 'IYKYK' accompanied by a spider emoji.
Insomniac has not officially confirmed a new Spider-Man title, with Marvel's Wolverine currently slated for release on September 15, 2026. Spider-Man 2 launched in 2023 to critical and commercial success, leaving several narrative threads unresolved, but no downloadable content has been released.
A major leak in 2023 outlined Insomniac's release roadmap, including a Venom spin-off planned for late 2025. That date has passed without announcement, suggesting internal priorities have shifted. However, a Spider-Man 3 was reportedly scheduled for 2028, aligning with the five-year gap between the first two games.
While Insomniac remains tight-lipped about its current projects, Jordan's post strongly suggests that a new Spider-Man game, whether a full sequel or a spin-off, is in active development.
