A lucky gambler at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa has won $84,758.24 after placing an 88-cent bet on a Jade Wind slot machine. The casino announced the win in a Facebook post on Wednesday, prompting a flurry of congratulatory comments.
“Congratulations to the winner. It's nice to see people win on small bets,” one user wrote. Another added, “That is awesome! I love seeing low bets win big.”
The win came on the same day the casino revealed a growing jackpot of over $2 million on 28 of its Dragon Link slot machines. The jackpot is increasing by at least $4,600 per day and is expected to become one of the largest slot machine payouts in Seminole Gaming history.
In a separate story, a North Carolina house cleaner won $626,543 on a $10 bet from the Monopoly Digital Instants game. Chelsea Carter, 40, from Ocean Isle Beach, received the prize on her 40th birthday. “This is the best birthday present ever,” she said in a TikTok video posted by the NC Education Lottery.
