EA FC 26's World Tour Season 6 has launched, bringing a host of new content themed around the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Japan and South Korea. The season, which began on Thursday, March 12, introduces a new evolution chain and player items celebrating the tournament's host nations, winners, and runners-up.
The highlight of Season 6 is the 'Make Your Idol' evolution chain, which allows players to create a custom 91-rated star from Japan or South Korea. Starting at Level 1 of the free season pass, gamers can select a player with a maximum overall rating of 85 from the host nations to evolve through multiple stages.
The evolution progresses through four steps, with the first stage boosting the player to 85 rated. At Level 3, players choose a branch based on position, upgrading the card to 87 rated with four-star Weak Foot and Skill Moves. Subsequent steps at Levels 7 and 21 add PlayStyles, further upgrades to five-star Weak Foot and Skill Moves, and a final overall rating of 91.
Season 6 also includes a new batch of World Tour Silver Superstars and player items on both the free and premium season pass tracks. Notable rewards include a 92-rated Tottenham Hotspur legend and Brazilian Icons.
The season runs until Thursday, April 23, when Season 7 is expected to begin. Future seasons may draw from World Cups such as Germany 2006, South Africa 2010, Brazil 2014, Russia 2018, or Qatar 2022.
