Manchester United are actively working on a deal to sign Leicester City prospect Louis Page, who favours a move to Old Trafford over Arsenal. The 18-year-old is seen as a potential third midfield addition for the season, and United view him in the same light as Ayden Heaven, who was placed into the first team last season.
Liverpool chase Barcola
Liverpool are working on a deal to sign PSG winger Bradley Barcola but are not willing to match the French club's £145m asking price. PSG chairman Nasser Al Khelaifi admitted there is a chance Barcola leaves before the window shuts, saying: "We're working calmly, we don't talk too much, we do. I can't say whether he will leave or not. Today, he is a PSG player. We'll see!" Barcola did not feature in PSG's UEFA Super Cup victory against Aston Villa on Wednesday night. Arsenal are also keeping tabs on his situation.
Chelsea set Fernandez deadline
Chelsea have given clubs a deadline to pay £120 million if they wish to sign Enzo Fernandez before the end of the transfer window. Manchester City have been strongly linked with an interest in the midfielder. The Blues have set a deadline of Friday at 5pm for City or any other interested clubs to pay the price tag, according to football.london. Xabi Alonso wants the situation sorted before the season opener against Fulham in just over a week.

Tottenham have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of club captain Cristian Romero. Fabrizio Romano reports that Atletico will pay a total fee of €40 million (£34.1m), beating off competition from Inter, Barcelona and Arsenal. The summer window closes on September 3rd.
