Oasis has issued a warning to fans about scammers issuing fake access codes for the Oasis Live '27 sale. Millions of fans who registered for the band's ticket process last week will be emailed unique, non-transferable codes starting today (September 24).
Fans are urged to check their inboxes for a code, which will be sent at any time between Thursday (September 24) and Sunday (September 27). However, the band has cautioned that many may also receive fraudulent codes from scammers during this period.
Band shares scam warning
Oasis shared an update on the code process yesterday evening (September 23), asking fans to 'remain vigilant'. The post reads: "With code emails due to be sent out over the next few days, please read this post carefully and be aware of potential Oasis Live ’27 ticket scams."
It continues: "As ticket information and unique codes are about to be distributed, please remain vigilant. Scammers may attempt to impersonate Oasis, our mailing list or our ticket partners."
Fans have been warned to use a checklist of four things to confirm an Oasis code is real before accepting it. The band states that if you have been randomly selected to receive a code, your email will:
- Come only from oasis@openstageit.com
- Use the name and email address you registered with
- Contain a unique, personal and non-transferable code
- Direct you to Ticketmaster and nowhere else
Any codes that are offered for sale are not genuine and will not allow you access to the sale. Do not respond to any fraudulent emails that request your password, card details or pressures you to make a payment.
What to do if you receive a code
While genuine codes for Oasis Live '27 should ideally land in your inbox, the band advises checking your junk and spam email too. However, if you receive a suspicious message in one of these folders, do not click any links or make any payments.
Receiving a code will allow you to access one allocated sale for one venue over the course of the weekend. The Ticketmaster sale, which begins tomorrow (Friday, September 25) and runs until Sunday (September 27), is taking place in staggered slots across all three days at 9am, 1pm, and 5pm.
Upon registration, fans were asked to select their three preferred cities for an Oasis show. Your allocated venue will be in one of the three cities chosen upon registration. Those who receive a code will be given permission to join one of the nine sale times this weekend and will be advised of their slot in their email.
If you don't receive a code
If you haven't received a code today (September 24), don't panic. Ticket organisers have confirmed that fans could receive a code as late as Sunday, September 27. Codes begin today but are being sent directly to registrants' emails across the weekend for the next four days.
This means millions will secure their tickets in the coming days before others even know they are in with a chance. The final sale will take place on Sunday, September 27 at 9pm. If you haven't received an access code by then, you have likely missed out on tickets this time.
However, resale tickets will be available to purchase closer to the time. They will only be available at the original price paid via Ticketmaster or Twickets.
