Emirates has opened a new lounge at Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2, the first of its kind in the UK to feature the airline’s latest ‘signature lounge concept’. The space offers guests luxury amenities including Moët & Chandon, relaxation zones and an open show kitchen.
Exclusive access and pricing
Unlike other lounges at Manchester Airport, this lounge is exclusive to Emirates passengers. First Class and Business Class customers, along with Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members, receive complimentary access regardless of class. Other Emirates passengers can pay for access: $155 (£117) for non-members and $125 (£95) for Emirates Skywards members, exclusive of taxes.
Emirates operates three flights a day from Manchester Airport on the Airbus A380, so the lounge is expected to be in high demand.
Design and facilities
The £10 million lounge is the first in the UK to feature the next-generation signature lounge concept, which is being rolled out globally. It has already launched in Munich and Frankfurt, with Mauritius and Istanbul set to follow. The concept includes more than 50 design enhancements, from Italian eco-leather seats and a signature Emirates scent to wireless charging at every table.
The lounge features two spacious rooms with ample seating, private areas, and dedicated zones for relaxation, work, socialising and dining. Decor includes herringbone floors, fresh flowers, comfortable leather seats and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Dining and drinks
Guests can enjoy a generous buffet with hot and cold food, plus a drinks bar with Moët & Chandon. The buffet includes a Made in Manchester menu with local dishes such as Fleetwood marinated king prawns, Wigan meat and potato pie, and Lancashire smoked trout. Barista-prepared coffees are finished with cocoa-dusted designs including the Manchester bee, and a mixologist serves locally inspired cocktails, including the signature Made in Manchester with Vimto Summer.
A second room offers relaxed seating with views of the apron, curved chairs for privacy, meeting areas, shower suites with VOYA toiletries, a Quiet Zone, private spaces and prayer rooms. The lounge provides gate access so guests can stay until boarding, and is open up to four hours before departure.

Who can use the lounge and how much does it cost?
First Class and Business Class customers, as well as Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members, including those travelling in Premium Economy and Economy Class, receive complimentary access. Gold members can bring one complimentary guest (adult or child), while Platinum members can bring one adult and two children (under 17 years).
All other Emirates passengers will need to pay for lounge access, which is $155 (£117) for non-members and $125 (£95) for Emirates Skywards members, exclusive of taxes.
