Shoppers are praising the COMFEE 12-14L Dehumidifier for its ability to manage damp and mould in homes, with some calling it a 'lifesaver' for drying washing indoors during colder months. The appliance is currently on offer at Amazon, reduced from £90 to £84.99 for Prime members.
The dehumidifier is said to remove up to 12 litres of moisture per day and is described as suitable for bedrooms, bathrooms and laundry rooms. It features a large 2.5 litre water tank with a visual water window that automatically shuts off when full, along with a low noise compressor for quiet operation.
Shopper Reviews Highlight Effectiveness
The product currently holds a 4.2 star rating on Amazon. One shopper commented: "Great dehumidifier! Very easy to empty the container. The back filter keeps dust away. The dehumidifier has a timer, which is handy to set up for a night. Also the price is very cheap compare to the product you receive. The only thing I would change is for Amazon to pack it better."
A second customer wrote: "Wow this is a fantastic piece of kit and so portable in the rooms of my flat. It has proven invaluable in drying out my listed building flat which is very wet amongst the three top floor flats. And the roof leaks."
Another reviewer, Stephanie, posted: "Works wonders! Had major damp in my apartment and now it’s well managed with this dehumidifier."
Comparisons and Alternatives
In a lengthy review, Ell said: "This dehumidifier has been a life saver with drying my clothes on the clothes horse and with preventing mould. I am unable to buy a dryer so I have been using clothes horses and heated drying racks but they’ve never dried my clothes properly and efficiently. With this dehumidifier my clothes are not smelling funny, are dried quicker and it helps not having to open a window during the super cold weather."
Ell added: "My flat can get damp quickly, especially when I turn the heating on or when I don’t open the windows every single day, yet the size of the water tank/collector is big enough that I don’t have to worry about draining the water from it every single use which is convenient for when I need to move the machine around my home. In a modern British household this is a game changer."
However, Jamie noted: "I bought 2 of these dehumidifiers and both times the radiator grill at the back was all bent, so I sent them back. I gave 2 stars as because before I noticed this it really did fill up fast and the humidity did drop! It’s easy to use and quite small."
Tina added: "This is brilliant, my house gets quite a lot of condensation in the winter, I put this on and it removes all the dampness. I put it on during the night and empty it about every two to three days."
For comparison, Dunelm's 12L Electric Dehumidifier costs £120 and features three modes, two fan speeds and a timer. Argos offers the Pro Breeze 12L Low Energy Compact Dehumidifier for £129.99, which costs as little as 4p to run.
