A technical outage at the Australian Border Force (ABF) caused major delays for international passengers at Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane airports on Friday morning. The issue affected both outbound and inbound international travellers, an ABF spokesperson confirmed.
Queues form at international terminals
Huge queues formed throughout the international terminals, with the outage causing headaches at the e-gates for outbound and some inbound flights.
“The cause of the technical issue remains under investigation,” the spokesperson said.
