Apple Pay appears to be experiencing an outage, with hundreds of user reports flooding in claiming the popular iPhone payment service is not working. According to DownDetector, there are nearly 300 reports of issues with the Apple Pay product.
Payment and Purchase Problems
Of the issues already reported, more than 40 per cent are having trouble making payments, while another 35 per cent are running into roadblocks when making purchases.
One person on social media said: "Apple Pay purchases not working. Transaction going to “pending” and removing money but not giving product."
A second echoed the same problem. A third said: "Currently having issues with Apple Pay, can't make transactions. Anyone else experiencing this?"

Apple are yet to comment on the outage, so there is no timeframe for when Apple Pay's issues will be resolved.
