Setup and app experience
Before use, the scales must be linked to the Withings app. The app is described as excellent, with a polished user interface that is easy to follow and reliable.
Once you step onto the tempered-glass platform, a retractable handle provides a six-zone scan of the left and right arms, left and right legs, torso, and abdomen. This shows where fat and muscle are distributed in the body, rather than just reporting overall body-fat percentage.
Measurements and precision
The scales provide more than 40 measurements and insights, including body fat, muscle mass, bone mass, water, lean mass, visceral fat, BMR, and vascular measurements. Weight is measured in 50g increments, with a range from 5kg to 200kg.
