The Tesco Finest British Free Range Bronze Turkey Crown with a Pork, Cranberry & Chestnut Stuffing has been named the best supermarket turkey crown for Christmas 2026 by the Good Housekeeping Institute.
The product, priced at £65.80, scored 84/100 in a blind taste test that assessed a range of fresh and frozen birds from supermarkets and online butchers. Tesco was among the first UK supermarkets to launch its Christmas range, catering to both premium and budget shoppers.
Winner Praised for Tenderness and Flavour
The Good Housekeeping Institute said: "A clear favourite with our panellists, Tesco's turkey crown is beautifully tender with a sweet pork, cranberry and chestnut stuffing that cuts through the buttery richness of the meat. Moist and full-flavoured, it's a crowd-pleasing centrepiece that takes some of the hard work out of Christmas dinner."
The test involved cooking each turkey crown strictly according to the packet instructions before serving them blind to eliminate brand bias.
