Southport Air Show returns for another display of military aircraft and aerial performances, with the Red Arrows making a comeback after a year's hiatus. Although the Met Office predicts rain across the weekend, hundreds are still expected on the coastline to enjoy the flying displays, the military village, ground entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
Dates and schedule
The show takes place on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30. The legendary Red Arrows return after a brief absence last year, filling the skies with their world-famous displays and red, white, and blue trails.
The annual celebration offers more than just aerial action, with a large selection of on-ground entertainment, activations, and displays, alongside an array of independent food and drink traders.
Some displays will only appear on certain days. The full list of confirmed displays includes:

Weather forecast
The Met Office predicts rain across the weekend. Showers begin early Saturday morning and continue until the early hours of Sunday morning. Sunday starts drier, but rainfall will return from around 11am and continue until the end of the event. Temperatures are set to be warm and humid, with highs of 20°C on Saturday and 21°C on Sunday.
Military Village and ground attractions
The Military Village, located on Marine Drive, features equipment displays from the Armed Forces. Guests can meet members of the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force, and learn about their roles and career opportunities. The local Air Cadets will be at the show, volunteering and encouraging young people with an interest in aviation to join up.
Between the flyovers, visitors can explore activities such as bungee trampolines, bumper cars, and classic games like Hook a Duck. Aviation fans can get up close with replica planes and browse stalls along Marine Drive selling military memorabilia, original artwork, treats, and children's toys. Flight simulators offer a chance to experience the cockpit and handle the G-force.
Tickets
Tickets are available for both days, starting from £14.56 for a single day general admission. Family and group tickets are also available at better value prices, with children under 16 free to attend. Tickets can be purchased on the SeeTickets site.
