The Six Kings Slam tennis tournament, which was set to feature Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur and Learner Tien, has been postponed until later this year. Saudi Arabian chief Turki Al Alshikh confirmed the delay, citing logistical reasons.
New dates announced
The exhibition-style event was originally scheduled for October 21, 22 and 24 in Riyadh, with each competitor set to receive $1.5 million. The tournament has now been moved to December 27-30, 2026.
Al Alshikh wrote on social media: "Riyadh Season has announced the postponement of the third edition of the international 'Six Kings Slam' tennis tournament, originally scheduled for October 21, 22 and 24, to December 27-30, 2026."
Reason for the delay
The decision was made following an assessment of the organisational and logistical challenges associated with hosting the tournament and their potential impact on the quality of the audience experience. Al Alshikh added that the decision reflects Riyadh Season's commitment to delivering sporting events to the highest standards.
