The Red Arrows have been confirmed for Liverpool John Lennon Airport this weekend. The RAF aerobatic team will be at the South Liverpool airport for two days, from Saturday, August 29, to the morning of Sunday, August 30.
Red Arrows' 2026 Season and Southport Air Show
The team's 2026 season includes performances at major air shows, festivals and sporting events, with the distinctive red, white and blue trails set to appear over locations across the country. One of these highlights is happening this weekend at the Southport Air Show, where the Red Arrows will make their dramatic comeback following their absence last year.
Southport Air Show returns to the seafront on Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30. The weekend features a variety of attractions for all age groups, including flight simulators and the chance to examine static aircraft and military vehicles.
Airport Stopover Details
In between the Southport Air Show, the Red Arrows will be stopping at the South Liverpool airport. The provisional timings are for them to arrive at 10:30am on Saturday, departing around 9am on Sunday.
An airport spokesperson told the ECHO: “The Southport Air Show is a great annual event and to have this in our City Region means that we often have some of the aircraft participating spend some time here at the airport during the two day event, and we are delighted to host the world famous Red Arrows once again between their displays.”
Previous Visit and Display Schedule
Last June, hundreds of spectators gathered around the airfield viewing area at the airport and on elevated mounds to catch a glimpse as the world-famous RAF aerobatic team departed. Back then however, their stop was part of their journey to the RAF Cosford Air Show.
The Red Arrows have confirmed they will be taking to the sky between 3:25pm and 4pm on Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30 for the Southport Air Show.

The full programme includes the Red Arrows, Typhoon, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight with Lancaster, Hurricane and Spitfire, Tutor, Richard Goodwin Jet Pitts, Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers, The Starlings, Strikemaster Pair, Gazelle Squadron, Hawk T1, Otto Helicopter Day Pyro, A-26 Invader and P-51 Mustang.
