McFly will headline The Park Series outdoor gig at Leazes Park in Newcastle on Friday, August 28, and organisers have confirmed entry rules, age restrictions and banned items for the event.
Gates open at 5pm, when music starts with Dan Harding first on stage. The show will finish by 10pm at the latest. Only bags smaller than A4 size will be permitted, and all bags will be searched on entry.
Age restrictions for the gig
The concert is for people aged 16 and over. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Items banned from the park
Banned items include illegal substances, glass of any kind, items that could be used as weapons (including penknives and cutlery), food and alcohol, camping gas canisters, generators, chairs, spray cans, laser equipment or pens, fireworks, aerosols and umbrellas.
McFly rose to fame in 2004 after supporting Busted, when debut single 5 Colours in Her Hair went straight to number 1, followed by Obviously. Other hits include Star Girl, Shine A Light, For The Radio, Lies and Comic Relief chart-topper All About You.
The band's members have also found success on TV, with Harry Judd winning Strictly Come Dancing, Dougie Poynter winning I'm A Celebrity, and Danny Jones winning both I'm A Celebrity and The Masked Singer.
Leazes Park will host the Noughty 90s festival on Saturday and The Human League with Sophie Ellis-Bextor on August 30 as part of the Bank Holiday weekend events.
