Hamilton Vue Shows World Cup Matches on Big Screen

Hamilton Vue will be showing hometown hero Lewis Ferguson on the big screen as Scotland's next two World Cup games are broadcast with stunning visuals and immersive surround sound.

Local Hero Returns to Big Screen

Lewis Ferguson played on football's biggest stage at the weekend, and now Hamilton locals can watch the hometown hero on the big screen this Friday. The Bologna skipper and former Accies star put in a tireless shift and was vital in breaking up Haiti's play during Scotland's 1-0 win over their Group C opponents.

Ferguson was in awe of the 30,000 Tartan Army fans who backed the team to victory in Boston. Fans back home can cheer him on in full cinematic glory at Vue Hamilton as Steve Clarke's men battle in the upcoming matches against Morocco and Brazil.

Ferguson Reflects on Victory

Ferguson said: "That felt like a home game against Haiti. I didn't realise until we stepped on to the pitch how many Scottish people were there. The away kit was everywhere. Our support is amazing and never in doubt. They travel everywhere. They always have, always will, that's a given."

He added: "We went a walk within the city on Saturday and it was full of Scotland fans. That gave us that little buzz going into the game. That moment when the final whistle blew and the music was on, you see the reaction from the players and fans – it was pretty special. I wasn't born for the last World Cup so I've never witnessed Scotland playing at this level. So to be part of the team that's won a game is special."
