Hamilton Academical have confirmed the signing of midfielder Dom Thomas, adding the 30-year-old as their third summer recruit. The former Motherwell, Queen's Park, and Kilmarnock winger has agreed a two-year contract with the Scottish League One side.
Dom Thomas's Recent Form
Thomas spent the second half of last season with Airdrieonians, scoring three times in 13 appearances. However, he could not prevent the Diamonds from being relegated from the Championship to League One. He will face his former club on August 15, when Airdrie host Hamilton on league business.
Other Summer Signings
Thomas's arrival follows the signing of former Larne striker Andy Ryan, who returns to Accies for a third spell. Earlier on the same day, Hamilton also announced the signing of 29-year-old defender Aaron Comrie on a two-year contract after his departure from Morton.
Club Statement on Aaron Comrie
A club statement read: "The experienced full-back arrives at New Douglas Park having built an impressive reputation across Scottish football with St Johnstone, Montrose, Peterhead and most notably Dunfermline Athletic. After joining Dunfermline in 2019, Comrie became one of the club’s most consistent performers, making more than 200 appearances in all competitions and helping the Pars secure the Scottish League One title in 2022/23. He finished his spell at East End Park with 212 appearances and eight goals for the club. Across his senior career, Comrie has made more than 260 appearances, bringing a wealth of experience, leadership and defensive quality to the Accies squad."
