Bournemouth have been drawn against AC Milan in the Europa League group stage, while Sunderland will face Lyon, following Friday's draw in Monaco.
Group-stage pairings revealed
The draw placed Bournemouth in Group C alongside the Italian giants, with the Cherries making their first appearance in European competition. Sunderland, returning to continental football after a lengthy absence, were placed in Group F with French side Lyon.
Crystal Palace, another Premier League club in the draw, were paired with Spanish outfit Real Betis in Group A.
Reaction and expectations
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola said: "It's a fantastic draw for the club and the fans. Milan are a historic club, but we will embrace the challenge." Sunderland boss Régis Le Bris added: "Lyon are a strong side, but we are excited to test ourselves against top European opposition."
The group stage is scheduled to begin in September, with matches to be played on Thursday nights.
