Eight Cardiff pubs have been included in the 2027 edition of the Good Beer Guide, compiled by the Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA). The guide, which is the definitive reference for pubs serving quality cask beer, features 4,500 pubs, 1,700 brewers and 5,000 beers.
New entries for Cardiff
Among the new entries are well-known city centre venues including the Blue Bell, the Owain Glyndwr and the Prince of Wales. The Earl Haig Club in Whitchurch, a popular venue that regularly hosts live music events, has also been listed.
The full list of Cardiff pubs new to the guide includes: Aneurin Bevan in Birchgrove, Ivor Davies in Canton, Blue Bell in the city centre, Owain Glyndwr in the city centre, Prince of Wales in the city centre, Black Griffin Inn in Lisvane, Halfway in Pontcanna and Earl Haig Club (Royal British Legion) in Whitchurch.
Wales-wide additions
The Cardiff pubs are included in the 'Glamorgan' category, which also covers notable pubs from Rhondda Cynon Taf, Vale of Glamorgan and Neath. Across Wales, there are 43 new pubs, including those in Cardiff.
Information in the guide is collated by thousands of CAMRA volunteers who give up their time each year to select the best pubs across the UK.

Ash Corbett-Collins, CAMRA chairman, said: "The Good Beer Guide is fiercely independent, just like the brewers making the best beer. It is the result of the time and effort of our volunteers across the UK to find the pubs serving the best kept cask beer.
"This year, we released our flagship report, 'Beer in the UK', alongside our campaign to expose how 'Big Beer' is dominating the UK beer market, and how ordinary drinkers and independent brewers lose out as a result.
