Disney Cruise Line has offered a first look at its upcoming ship, Disney Believe, which is set to debut in 2027. The reveal came at this year's D23 fan event, where concept art showed what passengers can expect when they board.
Atrium statue and exterior design
Each Disney cruise ship features a large bronze statue in its atrium, and for the Believe, Moana will take centre stage, joined by Pua and Hei Hei. The statue will be among the first sights for passengers arriving on board.
Concept art also revealed the ship's exterior, with huge figurines of Woody and Buzz Lightyear adorning the stern. Tinker Bell will feature on the bow, with a design that includes silhouettes of Peter Pan, Wendy and Captain Hook.
New class of ships announced
Disney Cruise Line also shared details of an entirely new class of ships, which will include three vessels debuting in 2029. These ships are expected to be larger than older vessels like the Disney Dream or Disney Fantasy, but smaller than the Wish Class ships, opening "exciting possibilities for future itineraries and experiences around the globe." With these additions, the fleet will grow to 13 ships.
Disney Believe is the fourth and final ship in the Wish class, joining the Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny and Disney Wish. While these ships typically sail from Florida, the Disney Wish will sail from Southampton next summer, offering shows, trivia quizzes, deck parties with fireworks, two cinemas, a kids' club, the AquaMouse water slide, themed dining from Marvel to Frozen, and character meet and greets.
Booking details
Disney has not yet revealed the full range of shows, dining and venues on the Believe, but given the popularity of the Wish class, it is likely to feature similar attractions. Bookings have not opened yet, but cruise lines typically open bookings within 18-24 months of a maiden voyage.
