The Carabao Cup third-round draw will take place on Wednesday, August 26, with the action set to include some of the Premier League's biggest clubs.
The draw is scheduled to begin at approximately 10.30pm UK time, immediately after the conclusion of the second-round tie between Preston North End and Everton.
How to watch the draw on TV
The draw will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football. Subscribers will also be able to stream it live via the Sky Go app or through NOW TV.
Which clubs are in the third round?
The third round features 32 clubs in total, including the 23 winners from the second round, alongside the nine Premier League clubs competing in UEFA competitions this season.
Those nine sides include Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Manchester United, who are all competing in the Champions League. Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Sunderland are all set to compete in the Europa League, while Brighton and Hove Albion are competing in the Conference League.
The seeding is an attempt to try and avoid congestion with the expanded European calendar. All European sides will be seeded in order to keep them separate in the main draw.
When will the third-round matches be played?
To accommodate European fixture schedules, third-round ties will be split across two midweeks: the week commencing September 7, 2026, and the week commencing September 14, 2026.
