Transfer news LIVE: Arsenal eye Toure, Martinez Man Utd exit doubts

Arsenal and Manchester United are among the clubs monitoring Newcastle winger Bazoumana Toure, while Lisandro Martinez's Manchester United future has been called into question following his criticism of the club. Chelsea have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Alex Scott, and Tottenham are set for talks over Manor Solomon.

Arsenal and Man Utd eye Toure

The Ivory Coast winger only joined Newcastle from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim in a £42m transfer over the summer, but has already caught the eye of a number of Premier League rivals. CaughtOffside claim that Arsenal and Manchester United are both closely monitoring the progress of Toure, having already been watching him before he made the switch to St James' Park in July.

Tottenham and Aston Villa are also credited with an interest in the 20-year-old, who is under contract on Tyneside until 2031.

Martinez future in doubt

According to Sky Sports, there are real doubts about whether the Argentine defender's contract will be extended when it expires in the summer. United are expected to focus on revamping their defence in the next transfer windows and have the formal option to prolong Martinez's stay for a further year.

Chelsea and Arsenal track Diouf

Chelsea and Arsenal are both keeping an eye on Inter Milan's Andy Diouf, according to CaughtOffside, who claim the French international has enhanced his reputation since moving to Inter from Lens in August 2025. His recent performances for France have only increased attention around him.

Scott boost for Chelsea

Bournemouth have changed their stance and are now open to selling Chelsea target Alex Scott in January, writes Dom Smith. However, the Cherries are only willing to consider the 23-year-old's sale under specific conditions.

Standard Sport understands that Bournemouth are open to selling their prized midfielder in the January transfer window if an offer of more than £100million comes in. Bournemouth sources say a sale will only happen in January if Premier League survival is looking likely.

Tottenham set for Solomon talks

Shakhtar Donetsk chief executive Sergei Palkin has revealed the club will seek compensation from Tottenham for winger Manor Solomon. Solomon joined Spurs on a free transfer in July 2023 after a FIFA ruling allowed foreign players at clubs in Russia and Ukraine to suspend their contracts immediately following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

At the time, Shakhtar threatened legal action, believing Solomon had a market value of around €20million (£16.9m), and they are now set to reignite those discussions after the Israel international moved to West Ham this summer for an initial £5m fee.

Kofane and Yildiz updates

Arsenal and Manchester United are keeping a close eye on Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane, according to Bild, who claim both clubs are on red alert after Kofane halted talks over a new deal after an agreement had been reached to extend his contract until 2031.

Arsenal look to have been handed good news in the race for Kenan Yildiz, with BILD in Germany now claiming that Bayern Munich will not compete for his signature if other clubs come in with huge offers.

Endrick and Nusa links

Real Madrid look potentially set to loan out the young Brazilian forward Endrick again in January, amid a lack of opportunities under Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu so far this term. Tottenham were mentioned as a potential shock destination for Endrick over the weekend, though Football Insider now claim that Aston Villa are plotting their own move once the transfer window reopens.

Arsenal are locked in a three-way fight to sign RB Leipzig star Antonio Nusa, with journalist Ekrem Konur reporting that Arsenal are battling Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Newcastle for the Norwegian winger, who is said to be available for £60m.
