Swansea City are poised to complete a season-long loan move for Manchester City winger Jeremy Monga. A deal has already been agreed between the two clubs, with the 17-year-old now due in south Wales to complete a medical and other formalities.
History-making teenager
Monga only signed for the Premier League giants last month, joining for around £10m from Leicester City. During his time at the Foxes, he made his Premier League debut at the age of just 15 years and 271 days against Newcastle United in April 2025.
That makes the teenager the third-youngest player to have appeared in the Premier League. Last season, he also became the youngest player to start a match for Leicester, playing an hour of their Carabao Cup tie with Huddersfield Town.
Swansea summer business
Having been snapped up by Man City, Monga remains a highly-rated young talent and even came off the bench in the pre-season friendly with a K-League XI in Seoul. He now looks set to continue his career at Swansea and becomes the latest winger to join this summer, following on from the likes of Joseph Opoku and Moussa Yeo.
Elijah Just can also play there, and the capture of Monga will inevitably spark questions over a couple of other players already in the building. The club will listen to offers for Zeidane Inoussa and Florian Bianchini, while Ronald has also been linked with a move away this summer. As things stand, however, there's nothing concrete on the table for any of them at this stage.
Further moves in the pipeline
Another exit that looks likely to happen is Leo Walta, who is reportedly on the verge of moving to LAFC on loan. Meanwhile, the club are closing in on a move for Huddersfield Town midfielder Tom Iorpenda.
