Cristiano Ronaldo gave rare insight into his massive supercar collection with a new photo showing off his "toys" posted to social media. The Al-Nassr forward, who makes an estimated £2.42 million per week, showed off the more than 20 cars lovingly parked inside his garage. He posed up a storm around a sea of Ferraris, Bugattis, Lamborghinis and BMWs, after revealing last year that he has even "lost count" of how many luxury vehicles he owns.
Ronaldo's Garage Revealed
While he didn't reveal just how much the cars cost in the post to his more than a billion social media followers, the fleet earned him approval from his huge group of fans. The post, which fetched more than 16 million likes and hundreds of thousands of comments, was proudly captioned by the superstar footballer: "My toys." Flocks of followers commented approvingly underneath, calling him the "Goat" as they marvelled at the massive collection.
It is believed that Ronaldo has a collection numbering more than 20 cars, although they weren't all visible in the Instagram post, put up on the site on Tuesday. Visible cars in the photos included a Bugatti Veyron 16.5 Grand Sport Vitesse, reportedly Ronaldo's first Bugatti, a Bugatti Chiron, and Centodieci. Those three cars alone are worth well over £10 million, with the Vitesse setting buyers back a staggering $2.5 million (£1.85 million), the Chiron another $3 million (£2.22 million), and the Centodieci $9 million (£6.67 million).
A Collection Worth Millions
Altogether, they're worth more than $14 million (£10 million), and they are far from the only cars that Ronaldo owns, with several more iconic vehicles also visible. Another is the Mercedes-AMG ONE, which was seen poking out from the corner of the image, a $5 million (£3.71 million) car that is one of just 275 ever produced. His less valuable - but still more expensive than most Brits could ever afford - cars include a McLaren Senna, Lamborghini Aventador, Bentley Flying Spur, and Mercedes G-Wagon Brabus. They're worth £750,000, £270,000, £250,000 and £600,000 respectively, adding another nearly £2 million to the overall value of the collection.
Ronaldo admitted last year that he had "lost count" of the number of cars he owns, but estimated that his fleet could number more than a few dozen. In all, it is believed that collection could be worth up to £22 million, and he revealed last year that he likely wouldn't drive a single one of them.
'Like an Investment'
Speaking to Piers Morgan's Uncensored podcast last year, the footballer revealed that the cars in his garage are "for collection" and "like an investment". He said: "I don’t go shopping. If I go anywhere, I can buy whatever I want, but I don’t need that anymore. Okay, let’s say three days ago I bought a car, but it’s for collection. It’s like you buy a frame. I’m not going to drive that car. It’s like an investment. Honestly, if you have to bet, I say I don’t know. 41, 40. I don’t know. I don’t know. I swear, I swear for my kids."
