Rangers have had an opening bid rejected for PSV winger Couhaib Driouech, but negotiations are ongoing as the Ibrox club looks to secure the Moroccan Under-23 international's signature.
Sources in the Netherlands have confirmed that official discussions have opened between Rangers and the Eredivisie champions in the last 24 hours. Record Sport understands that PSV's £6 million valuation is now expected to be met as Derek McInnes ramps up his summer recruitment drive.
PSV valuation expected to be met
The 24-year-old has been on Rangers' list of monitored wingers over previous seasons. He has been told he is free to make the move to Glasgow, provided the club doubles the fee PSV paid to buy him from Excelsior two years ago.
RB Salzburg are also showing interest, but Rangers have moved quickly in an attempt to beat Rohl's new club to the punch. McInnes has been searching for wide players and has already completed a £3 million deal for Hannover winger Daisuke Yokota.
Driouech earmarked for starting role
While the Japanese speed merchant has been lined up for a role on the right flank, it is understood Driouech has been earmarked for a starting role on the opposite wing.
