Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has said he "doesn't know" what the future holds for Bradley Barcola, amid reports that Liverpool are ready to walk away from a deal for the winger.
Barcola has been linked with Liverpool all summer as the Reds seek a replacement for Mohamed Salah. Arsenal are also reported to be interested, with claims they could hijack their Premier League rivals after Vinicius Junior signed a new contract at Real Madrid.
Enrique's update
Barcola has reported back to PSG after his extended World Cup holiday and was named in the squad for Wednesday's UEFA Super Cup match against Aston Villa in Salzburg. His future was raised at Tuesday's pre-match press conference, where Enrique gave a vague response.
"I don't know and I don't want to speak about any player individually because it's always when you ask things positively or negatively about a player," the Spaniard said. "I stay focused on my team."
Price and competition
PSG have already strengthened their attack this summer by signing Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco and are close to an agreement with Barcelona for Ferran Torres. With Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia already at the club, Barcola could see limited game time if he stays.
According to The Athletic, PSG have set an asking price of around £145 million for Barcola, but Liverpool are not willing to meet that valuation. With the clubs struggling to agree, Arsenal remain alert as Mikel Arteta wants to sign a winger and a versatile defender.
