The Guardian reports that United executives believe they can persuade the 23-year-old, who is set to start for England at the World Cup, to move to Old Trafford. Forest have already rejected an £80m bid from City.

The club are also monitoring Marcus Rashford's situation, with the forward reportedly keen on a permanent move to Barcelona after a loan spell there.
Spanish publication Marca claims Rashford is focused on joining Barcelona, despite links to Bayern Munich. Barcelona have a £26m purchase option until June 15 but are reportedly reluctant to pay the fee and may seek to renegotiate. Rashford's current United contract is worth £325,000 per week.
United will assess Colombian midfielder Cristian Orozco after his arrival from Fortaleza CEIF next month. The 18-year-old will be evaluated by coaches before a development plan is formed.
