Manchester United are reportedly running the rule over two potential signings ahead of Monday's transfer deadline, with scouts dispatched to monitor Club Brugge midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic and Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic.
According to journalist Matteo Moretto on Fabrizio Romano's YouTube channel, United have been watching Stankovic, 20, who is valued at around £20m. The Serbian midfielder only left Inter Milan last summer, and the Italian club hold an option to re-sign him in the summer. Tottenham Hotspur are also credited with an interest.
Meanwhile, Bosnian outlet SportSport claims United scouts have been impressed by Tarik Muharemovic, 22, after attending Sassuolo's Serie A win over Pisa on Saturday. The defender played the full 90 minutes as Sassuolo climbed to ninth in the table.
United have had a quiet January window, with no new arrivals as yet. Interim head coach Michael Carrick has made a strong start, winning his first two matches against Manchester City and Arsenal. The club host Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday before the window slams shut.
