Frankfurt Set £51m Asking Price for Arsenal and Liverpool Target Willian Pacho

Eintracht Frankfurt have placed a €60m (£51.2m) price tag on defender Willian Pacho, who has attracted interest from Premier League clubs Arsenal and Liverpool. The 22-year-old Ecuador international only joined Frankfurt from Royal Antwerp last summer for €9m (£7.6m), but his impressive performances have significantly increased his value.

Pacho has been a regular for Frankfurt this season, making 24 Bundesliga starts and eight appearances in the Europa Conference League. Despite not scoring a club goal, he has netted twice for Ecuador in nine caps since his international debut last year.

Sky Sport Germany report that both Liverpool and Arsenal have placed Pacho on their shortlist of summer targets. Frankfurt are aware that retaining the centre-back will be challenging given the level of interest, but they are determined not to let him leave for less than €60m. Pacho's contract runs until 2028, giving the German club a strong negotiating position.

Tottenham and Everton have also been linked with Pacho, but while Spurs could compete for his signature, Everton are unlikely to succeed against top Premier League clubs. Frankfurt manager Dino Toppmöller praised Pacho, saying: 'He’s doing a great job, and is getting better all the time. He’s really reliable and has world-class potential.'
