Kim Min-jae commits to Bayern
Despite falling out of favour at times under Bayern boss Vincent Kompany, the 29-year-old centre back remains fully committed to fighting for his place. According to BILD, Kim is happy with his current role and has no desire to force a move abroad.
This marks a frustrating blow for United, who have monitored the defender closely since his title-winning days at Napoli. With the player turning 30 in November, it is now highly unlikely he will ever play at Old Trafford.
Nkunku opportunity arises
At AC Milan, former Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim has reportedly deemed Christopher Nkunku surplus to requirements after an underwhelming pre-season tour. United have monitored the versatile attacker since Ralf Rangnick's tenure in 2022.
Nkunku endured a difficult stint at Chelsea before joining the Serie A giants. With Amorim sanctioning his departure, the Old Trafford hierarchy have been presented with an opportunity to bolster their attacking ranks. Whether Michael Carrick's side will make a formal approach remains to be seen.
