Jack Grealish made his return to Manchester City action on Sunday in the 3-0 Community Shield defeat to Arsenal, but his future at the club remains uncertain.
Return after a year out
Grealish had not played for City for over a year, having spent last season on loan at Everton after Pep Guardiola decided he was surplus to requirements. His loan was cut short due to injury, though he had impressed Everton fans.
He returned to Manchester for Guardiola's farewell but was not named in the pre-season tour squad while recovering. After the team's return from Asia, Grealish trained with the first team at the Joie Stadium on Thursday and was named on the bench for the Community Shield, coming on at half-time.
Fans split on his future
MEN Sport asked readers: 'Should Man City sell Jack Grealish after shock return vs Arsenal?' At the time of writing, 48 per cent voted 'Yes', 47 per cent voted 'No', and five per cent were 'Unsure'.
After the game, Enzo Maresca was asked about Grealish's future. He said: "The ones that are still here and want to work every day and if they deserve they're going to get minutes. At the moment the transfer window is open and we will see what happens."
