Man Utd Transfer Boost as Crystal Palace Star Munoz Reveals Dream Move
Crystal Palace's Munoz reveals Man Utd transfer dream

Crystal Palace are facing a fresh battle to retain one of their key assets after defender Daniel Munoz publicly expressed his desire to join Manchester United.

‘A Dream to Play for Manchester United’

In a candid interview that will alert clubs across Europe, the Colombian international has admitted that a move to Old Trafford would fulfil a lifelong ambition. Speaking to Spanish publication AS, the 29-year-old right-back did not hide his aspirations to test himself at the very highest level.

"If you ask me, it would be a dream to play for one of these clubs, whether it’s Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, or Manchester United," Munoz revealed. "I strive every day to one day attract the attention of one of these clubs, because for me, it’s a dream to get there."

Palace’s Stance and January Window Possibility

Despite his clear ambition, Munoz was quick to temper immediate expectations, insisting his current focus remains solely on his duties at Selhurst Park. He stated he has no concrete information regarding interest from any of the European giants he mentioned.

However, he notably left the door open for a potential move when the market reopens, adding: "My focus is on Crystal Palace. We’ll see when the winter transfer window gets closer." This comment will be of significant concern to Palace chairman Steve Parish, who has repeatedly had to navigate substantial interest in his squad's star players.

A Growing Exodus from Selhurst Park?

Munoz’s comments come at a sensitive time for the South London club. Palace have already been forced to sanction several high-profile sales in recent seasons, with the departures of attacking talents Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise, as well as defender Joachim Andersen.

The situation with captain Marc Guehi is also precarious. The England defender was on the verge of a £35m move to Liverpool in the summer before the deal collapsed, and he is now out of contract at the end of the season, likely leaving for nothing.

Munoz himself has been a resounding success since his arrival from Genk in 2024. The dynamic defender has made 81 appearances for the Eagles, scoring eight goals and playing a pivotal role in the club's FA Cup and Community Shield triumphs. With his contract running until 2028, Palace are in a strong negotiating position, but his public admission may test their resolve in January.
