Hibs are reportedly standing firm on their £4million valuation of Miguel Chaiwa amid interest from Celtic. Easter Road chiefs turfed out January interest in Zambia international Chaiwa just months on from his switch from Swiss side Young Boys.
Celtic are also said to have had a bid knocked back for the 22-year-old in the winter window, and The Herald report they "remain interested" in the player. As it stands he is viewed as an alternative to Torino midfielder Gvidas Ginetis, and could push for a deal if talks with the Serie A club "reach a dead end." It is noted that there are interested clubs across Europe who have already indicated they will pay £3million for the player.
Celtic's left-back search
With Arne Engels looking increasingly likely to join West Ham, the Hoops are inching closer to add Mika Baur from Paderborn. Record Sport understands the club are keen to loan in a left-back to compete with Kieran Tierney.
The Hoops are weighing up several options in their search for a left-back - and their former title-winner Greg Taylor among them. La Liga outfit Malaga and English Championship side Burnley are now also keen on the 28-year-old - but any suitor looks like they will be made to wait.
Taylor and Penrice loan updates
Greek outlet Filathlos report that boss Alessio Lisci will make a decision on the Scotland cap's future following the Europa League qualifying clash with Anderlecht, and views Taylor as a potential left-winger at this stage of the season.
While a loan move for Taylor is not off the table, hopes of a move for AEK star James Penrice appear to be fading. Rangers have also been keen on the former Hearts man - with the Light Blues holding talks with the Athens club over a loan move with an option to buy. However, Sport Dog now state that the Greek champions are not open to a loan exit.
