Barcelona Consider Lewandowski Sale For Rashford Bid

Manchester United have been handed a potential boost in their efforts to sell Marcus Rashford permanently to Barcelona, with reports suggesting the Spanish club may offload Robert Lewandowski to free up funds.

Rashford is currently on loan at Barcelona, who have an option to make the move permanent for a £26 million fee. However, the Catalan club have been reluctant to pay that amount, instead seeking to reduce the price or extend the loan for another season—something United are unwilling to accept.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lewandowski's agent Pini Zahavi is set for a second meeting with Juventus in the coming days, following an initial meeting earlier this month. AC Milan are also reportedly interested in the Polish striker, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Barcelona have offered Lewandowski a new deal on reduced wages, but no decision has been made. Should he leave, it would free up significant wages and potentially allow Barcelona to meet the £26m fee for Rashford.

However, Barcelona's interest in Rashford has reportedly cooled in 2026 due to his performances, with the club exploring alternatives such as Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez and former Crystal Palace striker Alexander Sorloth. A resolution to Lewandowski's situation is not expected until the end of this month.
