Arsenal have joined Tottenham in the race to sign RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa, with the Norway international reportedly valued at around £51m (€60m).
Interest from Premier League rivals
According to The Sun, both north London clubs are monitoring the 21-year-old, who has scored ten goals in 71 appearances for Leipzig since joining from Club Brugge for €22.5m (£19.2m) in 2024. Nusa nearly moved to Brentford earlier that year but the deal collapsed after complications during his medical.
After two promising seasons in Germany and strong performances at the World Cup with Norway, Nusa is again attracting interest from top English clubs.
Arsenal's left-wing priority
Arsenal have made strengthening their left-wing options a priority following Leandro Trossard's departure to Besiktas. The Gunners have already signed Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge for £34m, but manager Mikel Arteta could add further reinforcements. Nusa is one option, along with Bradley Barcola and Yan Diomande.
Tottenham's spending spree
Tottenham could also pursue Nusa as they continue heavy spending under new boss Roberto De Zerbi. Spurs have already spent a combined £185m on Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, while Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi have bolstered the defence. A winger could be useful with Dejan Kulusevski, Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert all missing the pre-season tour to New Zealand and Australia.
Troy Deeney's praise
Former Premier League striker Troy Deeney spoke highly of Nusa on talkSPORT, calling him a 'frightening' addition for top clubs. 'He's 21 years of age and played 35 games last year, 5 goals, 4 assists. 36 games the year before, 5 goals and 6 assists, so he is showing you that he can do it both goals and assists at his 21 years of age,' Deeney said.
'He came on in the second half against England and did really well, but I just think at 21 and on that high left (position) now, which is an area that most teams are struggling.'
Deeney added: 'This kid's very quick as well. I remember watching him in the qualifying games and he's the only one who can keep up with Haaland. Haaland loved playing with this guy because when he gets away on the break, Haaland knows he doesn't have to slow down. This guy gets to the byline and just fizzes it across the box.'
