Ben Shelton came from a set down to defeat Karen Khachanov 6-7(5), 6-4, 7-6(3) and win the Canadian Open in Toronto, securing his first ATP Masters 1000 title.

The 22-year-old American, seeded fourth, battled through a week that included victories over Flavio Cobolli, Alex de Minaur, and Taylor Fritz.

Shelton became the youngest American man to win a Masters 1000 since Andy Roddick in 2004.
