Ronnie O'Sullivan Plans Snooker Retirement in 2028

Ronnie O'Sullivan has indicated that 2028 may be the year he retires from snooker. The 50-year-old has admitted he is beginning to feel every month and year of his age.

Recent Performance and Ranking

O'Sullivan started his 35th consecutive snooker campaign with a strong 6-1 victory over 18-year-old Chinese wildcard Liu Linhao at the Shanghai Masters. However, his world ranking has dropped to No. 14, and if he falls to No. 16, he will need to qualify for next year's World Snooker Championship.

Record Ambitions

The seven-time World Snooker Championship winner is currently tied with Stephen Hendry for the most titles and is determined to break the record. Yet O'Sullivan acknowledges that time is not on his side.
