Rogers' United Comments Boost Transfer Hopes

Morgan Rogers has already made his feelings clear about Manchester United, stating that 'there is no team bigger,' which could boost the Red Devils' chances of signing him this summer.

Rogers' Admiration for Manchester United

The Aston Villa midfielder, 23, has become one of the most sought-after players in the transfer window after a standout season, registering 14 goals and 12 assists in all competitions. His comments from December, following Villa's 2-1 win over United where he scored twice, revealed his high regard for the club: 'It's massive. Every game is important, there's no bigger team than United.'

Manchester United and Arsenal are both interested in signing Rogers, with Villa expected to demand over £90 million for their talisman. According to Sky Sports France, United have made contact with Villa to explore a possible deal, while Arsenal have contacted his agent.

Potential Role at United

United manager Michael Carrick, who previously worked with Rogers at Middlesbrough, is looking to bolster his midfield and left-wing options—both positions where Rogers can play. He could also serve as a long-term successor to Bruno Fernandes in the middle of the park.

Rogers is reportedly open to a new challenge this summer but is not actively pushing for a move away, given Villa's Champions League qualification. When asked about transfer speculation, he told The Rest Is Football: 'You hear it, course you do. You can’t help not. You know it’s there but you’ve got to use it in a positive way. You just try and get on with your game and just focus.'

With his previous comments indicating a preference for United over Arsenal, the Red Devils may have the edge in securing his signature.
