Rangers are set to travel to Austria for their pre-season preparations, with an eight-day training camp scheduled to begin on July 10. However, the future of manager Danny Rohl remains uncertain amid reports linking him with a move to RB Salzburg.
Rohl Tipped as Salzburg Target
German media reports suggest that Austrian Bundesliga giants RB Salzburg have identified Rohl as their primary candidate to replace Daniel Beichler, who was dismissed after the club finished third in the league last season. Rohl began his coaching career at RB Leipzig, a sister club of Salzburg, making him a familiar target.
Pre-Season Schedule
Rohl is expected to reunite with his squad when most Rangers players report for pre-season training on June 22. Key players, including Scotland internationals Lawrence Shankland, Findlay Curtis, John Souttar, and Liam Kelly, as well as Belgian midfielder Nico Raskin and Norwegian talent Thelo Aasgaard, will join after their World Cup commitments conclude.
The Light Blues will then travel to Austria to intensify their training, with a friendly match against yet-to-be-announced opponents likely included in the itinerary.
Uncertainty at Ibrox
Whether Rohl remains at the helm for the Austrian camp remains to be seen. The German boss has been heavily linked with a move to Salzburg, a club with which he has strong ties. Rangers fans will be watching developments closely as the pre-season schedule unfolds.
