Nunez's Liverpool Feelings Clear; Man Utd Block Rashford

Liverpool's transfer season is in full swing alongside the World Cup, with the Reds linked to numerous players. Among the rumours, Darwin Nunez's potential return to Anfield has sparked interest, while Manchester United have blocked a move for Marcus Rashford to their rivals.

Nunez's Affection for Liverpool

Reports of Nunez rejoining Liverpool have circulated, though The Athletic claims they are unfounded. However, the Uruguayan's feelings for his former club remain strong. Speaking to AUFTV in March, Nunez said: "Yes, I'd be lying if I said no, that I don't miss them. The truth is they made me feel very good and my family too. In difficult moments that I went through personally, the people always gave me that affection, that support and that was very important to me. Obviously I miss Liverpool, I miss them a lot."

Nunez joined Al-Hilal from Liverpool last summer but was dropped from the squad after Karim Benzema's arrival in January.

Man Utd Block Rashford Transfer

Manchester United have blocked Liverpool and Manchester City from signing Marcus Rashford this summer. The Athletic reports that the striker has a £40m release clause, but it does not apply to United's biggest rivals. Rashford spent last season on loan at Barcelona, winning La Liga with 14 goals and 10 assists, but the Spanish club opted not to make the move permanent.

Arsenal and Bayern Munich have been linked, while former Liverpool goalkeeper David James urged the Reds to make a bid: "If I were Liverpool, I'd look to sign Marcus Rashford. I really would. Whether he plays on the left or the right isn't the main issue. Get him in first, and then you give it time to work out his best position. I think he's an outstanding footballer. His football intelligence is off the scale, and so is his ability."
