Man City Pre-Season: Full Schedule and How to Watch

Manchester City have confirmed their pre-season schedule, with the Blues heading to Asia for three fixtures before returning to the UK for the Community Shield. The summer programme begins on Saturday, August 1, when City face Inter Milan in Hong Kong at the Kai Tak Stadium, with a 12:30pm UK kick-off. This match is a repeat of the 2023 Champions League final, which City won 1-0 to complete a historic treble.

Fixtures in South Korea

City will then travel to South Korea for two matches. On Wednesday, August 5, they take on a representative side from the Korean League at the World Cup Stadium in Seoul, with the kick-off time yet to be confirmed. The final Asian fixture sees City host Spanish side Atletico Madrid on Sunday, August 9, also in Seoul, with another TBC kick-off.

All three Asian matches will be streamed live on the club's City+ platform, providing fans with comprehensive coverage of the pre-season tour.

Community Shield and Premier League Opener

Upon returning to the UK, City will contest the Community Shield against Arsenal on Sunday, August 16 at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, with a 3pm kick-off. The fixture has been moved from Wembley due to a scheduled concert. This will be followed by City's Premier League opener at home to Bournemouth on Sunday, August 23 at 2pm, marking the first opening-day home fixture for the club in a decade.

Incoming boss Enzo Maresca will oversee the pre-season preparations, though the majority of City's 17 players involved in the World Cup are expected to miss at least some of the schedule. Maresca will decide on their return dates ahead of the new campaign.
