F1 superstar Lewis Hamilton has been turning heads in Barcelona with a new barnet, with social media users saying he looks awfully familiar to one Chelsea star.
New Look Sparks Comparisons
From bleach blonde to braids to going pretty much bald, driving supremo Lewis Hamilton is no stranger to switching up his look. And with a new Kardashian girlfriend and the start of the F1 season getting underway, the Brit's latest barnet is once again causing heads to turn.
The Ferrari man, who is currently in Barcelona for the upcoming Catalunya Grand Prix, was snapped sporting an impressive new do while strolling around the city, with racing fans offering comparisons to cartoon characters, football stars and more.
Pics show the 41-year-old letting all hang out the back of his iconic, red Ferrari cap, in a look that is both striking but also slightly more casual than we are maybe used to from the racing star.
Fan Reactions
Over on socials, reactions were mixed to Hamilton's new look. Most fans were keen on the trim, with one writing on X: "Class, confidence, swagger, and peak performance. This is the Lewis we love and the haters love to hate." Another added: "Letting the locks out. Cool haired dude."
Others were keen to point out that the long, curly locks reminded them of somebody else, with footballer Marc Cucurella and The Simpson's character Otto Mann amongst the suggested doppelgangers.
Some responders admitted they preferred Hamilton's previous looks, with one fan writing: "He's my boy but he needs to sort his hair out", while another added: "I love the braids better but he is still the GOAT."
F1 Season Update
The new haircut comes amid a decent start to the new F1 season, with Hamilton sitting second in the Driver's Championship with 3 podium finishes and 90 points.
Hamilton, who has won the prestigious accolade a whopping 7 times, sits behind Italy and Mercedes man Kimi Antonelli, who also beat him to first place at Monaco last time out.
Hamilton's compatriot George Russell sits just two points behind him in third, while last season's winner Lando Norris is back in sixth after a mediocre start in the McLaren.
Hamilton's former team Mercedes are leading the way in the Constructors Championship with 244, with Ferrari in second and McLaren in third.
The Catalunya Grand Prix will take place between 12-14 of June.
