The first Hibs vs Hearts clash of the 2026/27 Scottish Premiership season has been confirmed as the fixtures were released. Edinburgh's two biggest clubs will lock horns at least three times in the league following some pulsating encounters last term.

David Gray will face a new opponent when Hibs take on Hearts in the Edinburgh derby next season. Derek McInnes has been appointed as Rangers boss after leading the Jambos to within minutes of an historic Scottish Premiership title last season. Hearts will have to rebuild after losing their manager and captain Lawrence Shankland.
However, one thing remains constant in the capital: the fierce rivalry between these two Scottish football institutions. Hearts are preparing for a Champions League campaign, while Hibs will compete in the Conference League. Yet local bragging rights will always matter in Auld Reekie.
