Arthur Fery looks to make even more history as he faces Alexander Zverev in the Wimbledon semi-finals. It has already been an extraordinary run from the British wildcard, who until these Championships had won just two Grand Slam matches in his life.
Fery's Remarkable Run
The 23-year-old needed four sets in his first two matches and then went the distance in rounds three and four. His most comfortable afternoon came in the quarter-finals when he dispatched ninth seed Flavio Cobolli in straight sets to book his place in the last-four. Fery is certain to have the Centre Court crowd firmly behind him on what is a baking afternoon at SW19.
Zverev's Form
Zverev comes into the match full of confidence. He is now a Grand Slam champion after winning the French Open earlier in the summer and has his eyes on going back-to-back. The German’s serve has been broken just four times all tournament and he cruised past Taylor Fritz in the semi-finals.
Match Details
Start time is 1:30pm BST on Centre Court. The winner will face Novak Djokovic or Jannik Sinner in the Wimbledon final on Sunday. Fery is only the fifth British man to reach the Wimbledon semi-finals in the Open Era, and he has made a habit of upsetting the odds throughout the tournament.
