Tuchel's side fine-tune ahead of Croatia clash

The Three Lions have been based in the United States for over a week, playing friendlies against New Zealand and Costa Rica. After a narrow 1-0 win over New Zealand, England impressed in a 3-0 victory against Costa Rica, with goals from Declan Rice, Anthony Gordon, and Ollie Watkins.

On Thursday, Thomas Tuchel's side faced Miami United at Palm Beach Gardens. Miami United, the oldest football club in the city, play in the fourth tier of US football and are coached by Claudio Frean, a former Haiti Under-20s manager. The match was not played at full intensity, with Tuchel explaining: "It will be a match according to our rules. It will not be 90 minutes, maybe 60 minutes, maybe 2 x 30 or 2 x 25. It is to get some minutes into the legs of players who didn't get minutes against Costa Rica."
