Katie Boulter Shuts Down Engagement Rumours After Anniversary Post with Alex De Minaur

Katie Boulter has dismissed speculation that she and boyfriend Alex De Minaur are engaged, after fans spotted a ring on her left ring finger in an anniversary post. The tennis couple, who are both competing at the Miami Open, celebrated four years together on social media.

Boulter, 27, shared a photo of the pair gazing at each other, with De Minaur in a blue shirt and Boulter in a black dress. Followers noticed two rings on her left hand, but the British No. 1 quickly clarified the situation. Writing on Instagram, she said: '4 years with you. (calm down not engaged just the only finger that ring fits).'

The couple have had a successful start to March, both winning titles on the same weekend. De Minaur defended his Acapulco crown on 3 March, defeating Casper Ruud. He then flew to California to watch Boulter win her second career title at the WTA 500 event in San Diego.

In her victory speech, Boulter thanked De Minaur for his efforts: 'He finished last night at midnight... He got a 4.15 taxi this morning and six o’clock flight to be here today, so I do appreciate it.'

Both players received byes into the second round in Miami. Boulter advanced on Thursday after her opponent Brenda Fruhvirtova retired with the Brit leading 7-6(5) 1-0. De Minaur will begin his campaign against Soon-woo Kwon on Saturday.
