Richard Carapaz of EF Education-EasyPost claimed victory in Stage 18 of the Tour de France, finishing the 4hrs 26mins 21secs stage ahead of the peloton.

Mauro Schmid (Jayco AlUla) placed second, trailing by 45 seconds, while Matteo Jorgenson (Visma-Lease a Bike) finished third with the same gap. Valentin Paret-Peintre (Soudal Quick-Step) crossed fourth, 1 minute and 14 seconds behind Carapaz.
Tobias Johannessen (Uno-X Mobility) took fifth at 1 minute and 57 seconds, followed by Raúl García (Movistar) at 2 minutes and 12 seconds. Pablo Castrillo (Movistar) finished seventh, 4 minutes and 30 seconds back, and Lenny Martinez (Bahrain Victorious) was eighth at 4 minutes and 35 seconds.
Remco Evenepoel (Red Bull Bora-hansgrohe) and Tom Pidcock (Pinarello-Q36.5) rounded out the top ten, both finishing with the same time as Martinez.
