Bradley Barcola Thrilled by Liverpool Move Amid Arsenal Interest

Bradley Barcola is 'thrilled' at the prospect of a move to Liverpool, despite transfer links with Arsenal, according to French outlet Le10 Sport. The Paris Saint-Germain forward is 'excited' by the project under new head coach Andoni Iraola and the chance to play in the Premier League.

Transfer Battle Heats Up

Barcola has emerged as a reported target for both Liverpool and Arsenal this summer, with both teams looking to bolster their attacking options. In a boost for the Premier League duo, L'Equipe previously claimed that PSG are open to a sale this summer as Barcola has two years left on his contract and talks over an extension are not progressing well.

While Arsenal appeared to be leading the race amid suggestions of a bid being prepared, they now face strong competition from Liverpool, with the forward seemingly preferring a switch to Merseyside.

Replacement for Mohamed Salah

Barcola is one of several names regarded as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, who officially departs Liverpool on June 30 after announcing his decision to leave towards the end of the season. Liverpool have already signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna for a fee believed to be in the region of £34.5 million, though that deal is not expected to impact plans to sign at least one more forward.

Other Targets

In addition to Barcola, Liverpool hold a strong interest in RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande. Despite being knocked back in their first attempt to sign the Ivory Coast international with an opening offer of €100 million (£86.8 million) rejected by Leipzig, reports claim they are likely to go back in with an improved bid, though the asking price is believed to be £112 million.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are interested in signing Morgan Rogers and there is confidence that he would be keen to join if a fee can be agreed with Aston Villa.
