Luis Binks is in line to make his Scotland debut against Switzerland. The Brondby skipper is set to land his first cap at Hampden tonight, with Sebastien Pocognoli bringing the defender into his backline for his first home game.
Binks, 25, has previously played for England, although he represented Scotland at under-18 level. Kieron Bowie is also expected to make his first start in the Nations League clash with the Swiss.
Fresh approach after Slovenia trip
The Sassuolo striker came off the bench in Saturday’s goalless draw in Slovenia. Bowie, 24, has three previous caps, but they were all off the bench. Pocognoli admitted before the game that he was set to freshen things up after the trip to Slovenia.
Scotland have four games in this international window. They head to North Macedonia at the weekend and then host Slovenia at Hampden next week.
Pocognoli on experimentation
Pocognoli, speaking on Monday, said: "Am I considering making changes? We have four games so like I said, I will try to find the balance to get results. But also to see a different approach on the pitch, a different profile and I think during the four games we will have a different kind of experimentation."
"The idea is to have the most information after the camp to use in the future, but also to be the best in a numeric aspect. So yeah, probably yeah, we will see tomorrow."
New faces in squad
Pocognoli handed Scotland bows to Stephen Welsh and Robbie Ure at the weekend and recalled Oli McBurnie. The Belgian has brought in a number of new players to his squad, including Luke Graham, Josh McPake and Kristi Montgomery.
