England defender Nico O'Reilly has been withdrawn from the squad for Tuesday's Nations League clash with Czechia due to injury, with Liverpool forward Rio Ngumoha named as his replacement. Ezri Konsa is expected to be fit for selection.
Injury forces late change
Both O'Reilly and Konsa were absent from training on Monday before the squad departed for Prague. O'Reilly, 21, played the full 90 minutes in England's 3-2 home defeat to Spain on Saturday and has been Thomas Tuchel's preferred choice at left-back.
The Manchester City defender travelled with the squad but has been removed from the matchday selection. Ngumoha was not in the squad for the Spain loss.
Konsa's key role
Konsa has been named in Tuesday's squad and may retain his place in central defence. The 28-year-old has appeared in every fixture at the summer World Cup and for Arsenal following his move from Aston Villa in a transfer valued at up to £55million.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Tuchel said: "It was because of minor issues. But there are still issues." He added: "Today in the morning we had a light training for the guys who started the game. The very last checks will be made tomorrow morning. If the doctors and physios give thumbs up then we're good to go."
Tuchel on the match
Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham are set to start as England seek three points. Lewis Hall and Myles Lewis-Skelly are among the contenders to fill the left-back role.
Tuchel downplayed suggestions that the match is a 'must-win' fixture, saying: "It is a bit early in the group for 'must-win'. We respect the quality of the opposition. I feel I always need a result, no matter where. Especially after defeat, even if this is the way to go forward, even then you just need it for yourself, and to show straight away a reaction. The match tomorrow has the highest priority."
England travel to Croatia for their third fixture on Saturday before hosting Czechia at Wembley the following Tuesday.
